Lorant Janosi obtained his Ph.D. degree in Physics with emphasis on Theoretical and Computational Biophysics in 2007 (University of Missouri-Columbia, MO, USA). His postdoctoral training started at University of Houston, TX, USA (2007-2009) and continued at University of Texas-Health Science Center at Houston, TX, USA (2009-2010) and at University of Cagliari, Italy (2010-2012). Since 2013 he works at the National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, as Senior Scientific Researcher. He was also the recipient of an O.M. Stewart Scholarship (2005), a Newell S. Gingrich Scholarship (2006), the First Prize of Physics Leaders' Meeting Talks (2006), an Ernest W. Landen Fellowship in Physics (2007), and of a Marie Curie Individual Incoming Fellowship (2010-2012).
